Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bugbrewery, the operator of Bugbrewery Inbox Zero (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. The service

Bugbrewery Inbox Zero is an email productivity service that connects to accounts you authorize. Depending on the features available and enabled for this deployment, it can help classify and organize email, manage labels and read state, archive or delete messages, create drafts, apply filters, support unsubscribe workflows, send configured messages, provide optional contact, calendar, and scheduling features, and file email attachments into connected cloud storage.

Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed over time. Some features may be experimental or offered as previews and may not perform consistently.

3. Connected accounts and permissions

When you connect Google or another supported account, you authorize the Service through that provider’s consent flow to access and act on data within the permissions displayed to you. You grant Bugbrewery a limited permission to access, process, and modify that data only as needed to provide the features you use or configure.

You may connect only accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for obtaining any notices or consents required for your use of information about other people contained in connected accounts. You retain ownership of your email, files, contacts, calendar information, instructions, and other content.

You can disconnect an account in the Service or revoke access through the connected provider. Some features will stop working when required permissions are removed.

4. AI and automation

The Service may use AI to classify messages, summarize context, suggest actions, and generate draft text. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. It is a suggestion, not professional advice, and you must review important output before relying on it.

Rules and automation you enable may change labels or read state, archive or delete messages, create drafts, submit unsubscribe requests, create calendar events, create Drive folders, upload or move files, or send messages. You are responsible for reviewing your instructions and settings, testing automations appropriately, and monitoring their results. Do not configure the Service to take actions you are not authorized or prepared to accept.

5. Accounts, security, and acceptable use

You are responsible for activity under your account, keeping your devices and credentials secure, and promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access. Information you provide must be accurate enough for us to operate and support your account.

You may not use the Service to:

• break the law or violate another person’s rights;
• access, monitor, or modify an account or data without authorization;
• send spam, deceptive messages, malware, or unlawful or abusive content;
• interfere with, overload, probe, or circumvent the Service or its security and access controls;
• attempt to extract credentials, tokens, private data, or non-public system information; or
• use the Service in a way that violates Google’s or another connected provider’s terms and policies.

You may inspect, modify, or reverse engineer open-source portions of the software only as permitted by their applicable licenses and law.

6. Data, privacy, and third-party services

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You give us the rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate, secure, and support the Service and the features you choose.

The Service depends on third-party products and services, such as Google APIs and configured AI and infrastructure providers. Your use of those products may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Bugbrewery does not control those services, and their outages, policy changes, or permission changes may affect the Service.

7. Ownership, feedback, and open source

Bugbrewery and its licensors retain their rights in the hosted Service, branding, documentation, and content, excluding content you own. These Terms do not grant you rights to use Bugbrewery’s or Bugbrewery Inbox Zero’s names, logos, or marks except as necessary to use the Service.

Parts of the software used to provide the Service may be offered under open-source licenses. Those licenses govern your use of the corresponding source code and are not replaced by these Terms. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.

If you provide feedback, you allow Bugbrewery to use it without restriction or compensation, but you are not required to provide feedback.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party outages, provider limits, and changes to connected APIs may interrupt or limit the Service. You are responsible for maintaining any copies or records you need and should not treat the Service as your only email or calendar backup.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, operational, or third-party platform reasons. When practical, we will provide notice of material changes that adversely affect users.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, disconnect your accounts, and request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access when you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, misuse the Service, or when continued operation is no longer reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we will try to provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and obligations arising before termination—will survive.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Bugbrewery disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service or AI-generated output will be accurate, reliable, secure, or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bugbrewery and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to the Service. Bugbrewery’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These exclusions and limits apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, third-party requirements, or applicable law. We will post the revised Terms here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
